Malte Kühnemund

Malte is a recognized pioneer and inventor of in situ sequencing technology. He previously co-founded and led CARTANA, which achieved a successful exit in 2020. With a background spanning business and R&D leadership roles, he brings a proven track record of scaling breakthrough science into industry-leading platforms.

Xiaoyan Qian

Xiaoyan is a pioneer in the field of in situ sequencing and a specialist in computational biology. As a co-founder of CARTANA, Xiaoyan played a critical role in the company's journey and its eventual acquisition. Her unique expertise bridges the gap between innovative chemistry and computational analysis methods.

Toon Verheyen

Toon is an expert in molecular biology with years of experience pioneering spatial biology and in situ technology. As CTO, he focuses on ensuring that CubaseBio’s intellectual property is robust and at the cutting edge of the industry. He leads our technical vision and roadmap ensuring every breakthrough is proprietary and built on a defensible foundation.

Paulius Mielinis

Paulius is an experienced scientist with analytical expertise in biochemistry and molecular biology, specializing in DNA library preparation and product development. Paulius previously served as a Senior Scientist at 10x Genomics and Thermo Fisher, where he refined his skills in the NGS field. He is currently leading the development of our 3D spatial technology, ensuring our insights are both precise and scientifically robust.
